About Christina
I'm Christina Hills- HCPC Registered Dietitian, chef-trained, and mum to a little girl who has eaten her fair share of pesto orzo.
I've spent 10+ years working with babies, children and families in the NHS and in my own private clinic, The Happy Feeding Company. My passion is helping families to feel confident feeding their little ones with real, home-prepared nutritious food, that tastes good and can be shared with the whole family.
The happy weaning series is everything I know about starting solids, in one place.
The story behind the series…
When my daughter started weaning, I had a full-on long notes on my phone of what she had eaten. I worried whether she’d had enough to eat some days.
I am a paediatric dietitian- and even I found it HARD.
So I started researching everything and writing things down. Notes for myself at first- what order to introduce things, the best first foods, which recipes worked, does baby-led weaning really make a difference?
Those notes turned into guides. And those guides turned into the Happy Weaning Series.
Still not sure?
The happy weaning series delivers structured, evidence-based nutrition guidance, recipes and meal inspiration - in a format you can come back to again and again.
A single clinic appointment starts from £110. The full series is just £55.
And if you only need one or two guides right now, every guide is available individually starting from £5.
“Food before one is just for fun….” You’ve probably heard this phrase- but is it TRUE?
Not really!
Yes, milk (breast or formula) is still super important in the first year. BUT food is more than just fun- it’s essential for:
Key nutrients for growth and development (iron, zinc, protein, omega-3 and more!) - we know that adequate supply of micronutrients during the first 1000 days is essential for normal development and healthy life.
Oral motor skills acquisition (learning to chew + swallow safely)
Texture progression (to prevent fussy eating later- studies show this!)
Allergen prevention
If you are worried about how much your baby is eating - or if they aren’t taking to solids/textures at all by 9 months - book to see me in my online clinic and get support now to feed your baby with confidence
