“I am so pleased that I reached out to Christina for advice with my 10 m/o. I was so lost in which direction to take her weaning journey and Christina was so friendly and reassuring which took so much of the pressure and anxiety I had about it away.”
“Her kindness, professionalism, and ability to make you feel truly heard are unmatched. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for guidance with their child’s dietary needs.”

My mission
When I was working with families in clinic and on the hospital wards in my NHS role, I found the dietary advice we gave and the resources often quite generic - I felt they didn’t always focus on whole, healthy and nutritious food (and there was also a lack of good quality places online for me to refer parents too for dietary advice!).
So I knew I wanted to create a space online that made feeding babies (and children!) feel doable, with nutritious whole food that actually tastes good!
I have also taken a leap and opened up my online clinic to support parents dealing with all kinds of paediatric nutritional challenges.
Ethos
Feeding your child isn’t just about nutrients: it’s about sitting down together as a family, and feeling good.
I believe in an approach to food that’s:
Based around whole, family foods
Fits in with your lifestyle
Non-judgemental
Full of flavour
And always guilt-free!

Why I do what I do
How I ended up here…
I have always loved food, so after studying for my undergraduate degree at Manchester University, I moved to the big smoke and studied for my masters in Nutrition at Kings College London. After that, I trained as a dietitian, graduating in 2015 - also at Kings College London - and subsequently fell in love with helping families through food.
Side note- I am also chef trained :) and a big believer that good tasting food shouldn’t stop when babies arrive at the table.
I have worked in lots of different kinds of roles supporting parents with babies and children with their nutrition needs, including 10+ years in the NHS. I trained at some of the top London Hospitals including Guy’s and St Thomas’ and The Royal Free Hospital, and spent three years working on the children’s wards at University College Hospital supporting children with cancer diagnoses and their families, before moving into a community paediatric role in West London.
Whilst working in these roles, I felt like there was a lack of nutrition advice for babies and children in a healthcare environment which centred around whole and nutritious healthy food and was available in a digital space (cue lots of paper printed pamphlets!). I wanted something more practical, accessible and rooted in nutrition science. So I started writing and blogging in 2019 about food and nutrition for children and young adults going through a cancer diagnosis (initially on a site called StreetVeggie - aimed at young people with cancer- which sadly I couldn’t sustain due to the increasing costs of running and hosting websites). When I started my subsequent role in West London where I began working with lots of families and very young babies at weaning age- I realised that there was similarly a lack of what I felt to be good quality food advice for babies going through the weaning process that I could refer parents to in clinic- like how to prepare beans, pulses and other high iron foods for babies, with actual recipes! This coincided with me going through a very high risk pregnancy and subsequently having lots of spare time researching and preparing for life with a little human.
This combined with my passion for cooking and feeding led to me creating an online space that makes feeding babies (and children!) feel doable, with recipes, meal ideas and inspiration and which answered all your baby and child nutrition questions- and there The Happy Feeding Company was born!
After my daughter was born I opened up my online clinic and have started supporting mums and families with personalised nutrition and feeding advice for babies, toddler and children!
With the The Happy Feeding Company I aim to support parents to feel confident feeding their babies with whole + nutritious foods that actually taste good and to be their go-to guide for baby and child nutrition and feeding issues!
Christina :)
