WELCOME TO THE HAPPY WEANING SERIES
As a paediatric dietitian with 10+ years experience- and a mum myself now- if I could give every parent starting weaning one thing, it wouldn't be a single recipe or a list of first foods. It would be the full picture. When to start, what to give, what to do when your baby refuses everything (and throws it all on the floor!)
Well, I have been on a mission to do just that- to help more parents feel confident starting solids with their little ones and to show them how easy it can be to make nourishing, home-cooked food which can be enjoyed by the whole family including babies.
And so that's exactly what I've built. Over 563 pages. 139 recipes. Welcome to the happy weaning series- a collection of 12 guides written by a paediatric dietitian (me!) covering every stage of weaning from before you start right through the toddler years, packed with recipes and practical tips rooted in nutrition science!

HOW IT ALL STARTED
When my daughter started weaning- I found the whole process stressful. Don't get me wrong- I love cooking and feeding my family- but I realised just how overwhelming it can feel. I had a full-on long notes on my phone of what foods she had tried that week, whether she'd had enough to eat that day. I am a paediatric dietitian and even I found it HARD.
So I started writing things down. Notes for myself at first- which recipes worked, a plan for how to introduce things, and started posting on my instagram and food blog to share my ideas with other mums and families. Those posts turned into workshops for other parents to come and learn from. Those workshops turned into guides. And those guides turned into the happy weaning series.
